Wasat Community
On the September 25th, Dawud Walid, an African American Muslim scholar, will guide South Seattle's Muslim community in discussion and dialogue on social justice and activism with the cultural perspective of Muslims. The event will be held at Rainier Arts Center, located at 3515 S Alaska St at 7pm. Wasat will follow up the next day by implementing a service project for community youth to distribute nourishing free meals made from surplus produce to those facing food insecurity.
