Rainier Beach Action Coalition hosts a 4-hour community-building event at Rainier Beach Community Center to empower local youth and families. This year’s event will be hosted at the Rainier Beach Community Center, located at 8825 Rainier Ave S Seattle WA on Saturday, August 23 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event unites community groups, businesses, service providers, and residents to support youth and highlight their importance to Rainier Beach's future. Its goal is to boost school retention, accessibility, and economic mobility by enhancing community involvement in schools, mentorship, and family support programs. Free nutritious food, school supplies, and haircuts are also provided, ensuring youth are ready for school. This collaborative event strengthens a supportive network for youth, families, and educators, paving the way for academic success and long-term community growth.
