28th and Hiram Neighborhood

On August 6th the neighborhod will gather for a Night Out event at Virgil Flaim Park located at 2700 NE 123rd Street beginning at 5:30 p.m. This gathering will increase community connectedness and safety. This project will be completed by September 30, 2019.

North Helpline

North Helpline will organize a National Night Out Against Crime event featuring performing artists, games, food, and information about local community resources. It will be held on August 7, 2018 from 6pm - 8pm at Lake City Court located at 12526 33rd Ave NE.

88th St NE Neighbors

This will be a Night Out block party for NE 88th St. between Roosevelt Way NE & 15th Ave NE. It's a bratwurst BBQ and potluck for approximately 100 attendees on August 7, 2018 from 6:00 - 10:00 PM. Six new homes have been built on the block, where one house previously stood, and three other homes have sold; so we have many new families to meet and welcome onto the block.

Neighborhood Watch Night Out - Arbor Heights

The Arbor Heights community will celebrate Night Out on Tuesday, August 7th from 5:00-8:00 pm. The location will be 10230 California Avenue SW. The evening will include food, fun and street games for all ages. A community Facebook page will be created to further encourage unity and collaboration among neighbors. Participants will also have the opportunity to place their photo on a neighborhood map.

49th Ave SW Neighborhood Group

The 49th Avenue Southwest Neighborhood Group will participate in the National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 6. The event activities will take place at 4047 49th Avenue SW between 6:00 and 9:00 pm. During the community barbeque packets containing information on crime prevention and emergency preparedness will be distributed. Activities include games, a balloon artist and face painting. A block watch list will also be created.

Boylston Street First Hill Night Out

The Boylston Street First Hill Night Out planning committee will host a National Night Out Against Crime event. It will be held on August 7, 2018 from 6pm - 9pm on Boylston Ave between Seneca St and Spring St. The free event will feature live entertainment, food, games, and opportunities for neighbors to socialize.

Friends of the Troll's Knoll

The Friends of the Troll's Knoll will organize a Night Out event on Tuesday, August 7, 6-9pm, and a community clean-up on Saturday, September 8, 9am-1pm. Both events will be at the Troll's Knoll public space in the SDOT right-of-way adjacent to the Troll (3620 Winslow Pl N).

Greenlake North Burke

The Greenlake North Burke community group will organize a Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, 6-9pm. It will be held on the 1800 block of N 90th St. Safety and emergency preparedness will be themes at this block party.

Judkins Park Neighborhood Group

The Judkins Park Neighborhood Group will organize a community Night Out event on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, 6-9pm. The event will be on S Dearborn St between 24th and 25th Aves S. The gathering will be focused on family-friendly fun, with food and drinks, activities, and music.

Meadowbrook Night Out NE 107th Street and Alton

Night Out Aug. 6,2024 the Matthews Beach/Meadowbrook neighborhood and Meadowbrook Community Council are hosting this community event focused on DEI through Community Involvement and Outreach Engagement. Information on safety awareness, emergency prep and response, and local opportunities will be presented. Starting @ 6PM we will bring together everyone to enjoy food and conversation. Neighbors are invited to bring their favorite potluck item to share, however we will provide food, drinks, seating and hosted grills for cooking.

Meadowbrook Night Out NE 107th Street and Alton

On August 6, 2019 at Alton Ave NE between NE 105th Street and NE 107th Street, the Meadowbrook - Matthews Beach neighborhood group and Meadowbrook Community Council are partnering for a neighborhood potluck and community Night Out event. The potluck starts at 6:00 p.m. This family-friendly event will bring the neighborhoods together for a night of fun and community building where Emergency Preparedness and Community Safety will be discussed. This will be the 11th annual gathering. This project will be completed by September 30, 2019.

Puget Ridge

The Puget Ridge Neighborhood Council (PRNC) will host two Night Out events on Tuesday, August 7th from 5-8:00 pm at two locations on the 1.3 mile long Ridge. The north end site at 19th Avenue SW & SW Brandon streets will host a petting zoo and a bicycle repair station. At the southern location, 18th Avenue SW and SW Myrtle Street, live music and picnic games will be offered. These events will create a sense of unity and inclusion among neighbors.

Neighborhood Night Out

We will host the Queen Anne Neighborhood Night Out event on August 3rd 2021. We will close the 2400 Block of 1st Ave West from 6pm - 10pm and have music, food and festivities to bring the community together. This project will be completed by September 30, 2021.

Neighborhood Night Out

Neighborhood Night Out will host an event on August 6, 2019 from 6 pm - 10 pm on 1st Ave W between W McGraw Pl and W McGraw St. The event will support crime prevention through community building.

Rainier Vista Community Building Committee

The Rainier Vista Community Building Committee is hosting a community building Night Out Event on Tuesday, August 6th, located at Central Park 4410 29th Ave S, Rainier Vista. The goal of this community building event is to bring together 500 neighbors from the Rainier Vista community, and law enforcement in a fun event to break down barriers. The event is free and open to the public.

El Centro de la Raza

El Centro de la Raza will be hosting a Night Out Concert on August 6, 2019 located at 2601 17th Ave S, at Plaza Roberto Maestas. The concert will bring together Mariachi music and Classical Orchestra and perform together in the Beacon Hill community. Music will be performed in different languages. The event will be free and open to the public.

South Lake Union Community Council

The South Lake Union Community Council will have a national night out event from 5pm to 8pm on August 7th in lieu of the monthly community council meeting to foster a sense of community within South Lake Union. SLUCC will also hold a voter registration drive at the event to increase civic mindfulness among residents. The project funds will be used to provide food and beverage for those attending, and to create a comfortable gathering space on 8th Avenue between John & Thomas streets as part of national night out.

Troll's Knoll Gardeners Summer Committee

The Troll's Knoll Gardeners Summer Committee will host a public Night Out event on August 6, 2019 from 5 pm - 9 pm at Troll's Knoll P-Patch located at 820 N 36th St. The event will promote crime prevention, urban agriculture, and community food security.

The U District Partnership

The U-District Partnership is hosting a Night out on August 6, 2019, located at 5031 University Way NE. The Night Out event is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, increase neighborhood support in anti-crime efforts, and unite the U-District community. There will be music, food, and drinks along with fun activities for all to enjoy. It is free and open to the public.

Licton Springs Community Council

The Densmore Block Watch group will organize a fun and useful Night Out event on Tuesday, August 7, 6-9pm, along the 9500 block of Densmore Ave N for families in the Licton Springs neighborhood. They will distribute community safety information, encourage residents to sign up for King County's Smart911 program, and begin to develop interest in forming an emergency preparedness communications hub.

Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority

Building off the momentum of the 2024 Nihonmachi Alley Concept Plan, which was funded by DON, SCIDpda will collaborate with community partners including the Japantown planning group, Wing Luke Museum, and CID Business Improvement Area to continue revitalization efforts. This funding allows work to continue in Nihonmachi Alley in 2 areas which are accessible to the public: Placemaking and Design & Planning. Placemaking efforts focus on Chiyo’s Garden where we will install new art from Erin Shigaki and install a decorative railing inside the gate to improve the usability and safety of the garden. The design and planning portion will build on the 2024 Concept Plan to hire an architecture/design and engineering team to repave the alley for safety and plan for permanent decorative and public art features. The anticipated project completion date is November 30, 2026.

Friends of Japantown

The Friends of Japantown will hire a professional design firm to help the community re imagine an improved Nihonmachi Alley. There will be a series of community events to gather support and input from stakeholders to inform a schematic design produced by the design team. This project will also involve small projects that are ready to be implemented. The over scope of the project is a mixture of long-term planning and immediate small-scale improvements.

Revitalize and beautify Japantown's Nihonmachi Alley with public art, lighting, and programming opportunities.
