Funding will be provided to Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs) for the up-skilling or re-skilling of workers transitioning from fossil fuel to clean energy positions; the up-skilling or re-skilling of residential workers in weatherization, building performance, and retrofitting, including fees required for industry-recognized credentials; and wraparound services during training, including but not limited to, childcare, transportation, housing, food, mental health services, and substance use treatment or services.

Eligibility

Eligible participants must be 18 years of age or older and include incumbent workers, Dislocated Workers, new hires in the clean energy field, and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Program participants. At least 35% of participants must reside within Disadvantaged Communities (DACs) and priority must be given to individuals with barriers to employment.
