Office of Addiction Services and Supports
The OASAS Job Placement Initiative offers specialized employment and career services for individuals in treatment for substance use disorders. The Job Placement services are integral to and supported by the evidence-based vocational rehabilitation counseling process. Job Placement includes person-centered job development and job placement services for recovering individuals who seek employment support while participating in the OASAS-licensed treatment provider system. Specifically, Job Placement Providers offer individualized pre-vocational and transitional job seeking assistance services as needed, and intensive and ongoing employment support services up to 180 days to support the continuum of the addiction recovery process.
