The AMSNY Scholars in Medicine and Science and AMSNY Scholarship in Medicine programs (formally known as Diversity in Medicine program) recruits and trains a diverse healthcare workforce that represents the diversity of patients in underserved communities to ensure health equity across the continuum of care. Program funding is available to students who commit to working in underserved areas in New York State upon completion of their medical education. Applicants must be students who are applying to studying in a participating medical school.
