Innovations in Functional B Cell Epitope Discovery for Food Allergy
NIAID - National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases
About This Grant
The goal of the proposal is to obtain fundamental functional understanding of human B cell epitopes in food allergy and in response to oral immunotherapies for food allergy. The clinical and serological features of patients who have allergies to different foods suggest that there may be heterogeneity in allergen-specific B cell clones or antibody features for these allergens. This proposal will analyze the epitope targets of allergic patient B cell receptors and antibodies.
