About This Grant
The Multimedia Resources and Training Institute will be hosting a one year project that will promote safety awareness, youth engagement, community collaboration, and safety education to build a stronger and safer community at Yesler Terrace. This project will educate, inspire, and empower residents to take ownership of their community’s safety and foster a stronger Yesler community, our project will focus on: Community safety education through events, speakers, and digital outreach, media storytelling to document and share safety initiatives, community engagement, neighborhood watch programs, and youth and parent empowerment to strengthen safety efforts. The events and activities will be free and open to the public and will be completed in the summer of 2026.
