Friends of Roots Without Borders
The Friends of Roots Without Borders will be hosting `Music to Build Community` a series of five arts and culture events that illuminate the roots of music and dance in the Americas, The first event is going to take place on March 5, 2023 at Broadway Performance Hall, 1625 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122. Rehearsals for all five events will take place at Sunset Hill Community Association. Other event will take place on May 8th, September 17th, November 4th and another in December, start times will be confirmed prior to events. The series will follow the evolution of arts and culture from a time before borders. Event programs will feature professional artists of diverse disciplines and cultures, highlighting indigenous music and folkloric dance from Olmec, Zapotec, Maya, Toltec, Aztec and Lummi peoples. The event is free and open to the public.
