Coe Kids Crossing Community Group
Our project calls for safety improvements to the W. McGraw St. and 7th Ave. W. crosswalk near Coe Elementary School. Coe has over 500 students, most of whom walk to school, some unescorted. We have developed a plan with SDOT for installing a concrete floating curb-bulb and new signage that will greatly improve the visibility of pedestrians using the crosswalk and better alert drivers to their presence. This project is also aligned with Seattle's Vision Zero and Safe Routes to Schools plans to improve safety on our streets near schools. This project will be completed by November 30, 2022.
