Haida Heritage Foundation
The Haida Roots Language and Youth Arts Program is an effort by the Haida Heritage Foundation (HHF), to keep the culture & critically endangered Xaad kil (Haida language) alive. This project, over the next 12 months will include dance, music, a youth art component, language classes and instruction in basket weaving and regalia making with renowned local artists. Classes will be held at the Daybreak Star Center, located at 5011 Bernie Whitebear Way. A community wide celebration will be held at the conclusion of the project.
