Literacy Source
Literacy Source is partnering with several organizations in the Lake City neighborhood to offer a World Dance Party event showcasing cultures around the world. Literacy Source will work with Hunger Intervention Program (HIP), Akin Family, and North Helpline to create this event. We will have food catered by small businesses in the area, local dancers who will showcase dances from various cultures, and resource booths. The World Dance Party will be a multicultural, multigenerational environment that is free of charge. This event will bring the community together by sharing the diversity of cultures, languages, and experiences within the community. Between a multitude of cultures, ages, and socioeconomic backgrounds, people of shared and different identities can create meaningful connections and access essential resources.
