About This Grant

Wallingford Porchfest is a small music event in the Wallingford neighborhood that allows the community to watch bands play live music for free. The aim is for musicians to play live again, and music-lovers to see live music again. There has been so little opportunity for this over the last two years due to the pandemic. There will be 10-15 property owners who will host the bands at various locations in Wallingford. The hosts and the bands will be inviting their neighbors, families and friends to watch at each site. We will be welcoming folks via social media, flyers and word of mouth. It is a one day event taking place between 12 and 8 pm on Saturday June 25th. We will will manage and encourage safe distancing and respect for all property. The event will increase community connectedness and encourage interactions and relationships between neighbors and the neighborhood at large. This project will be completed by September 30, 2022.
