Bike Happy Cascadia
The Aurora corridor does not currently meet the needs of a 21st Century Seattle. We need to reenvision the section of Highway 99 that stretches from the Aurora Bridge to the city's northern boundary. This effort will amplify the needs of the many neighborhoods that touch Aurora and bring community-focused insight to the planning process. Through a series of online interactive visioning workshops, the Aurora Reimagined Coalition (ARC) will engage neighbors and stakeholders of Aurora. Trained volunteers will help facilitate discussion and elicit the public's priorities. We will raise up a shared community vision of a future Aurora Ave N. With public input we will create a list of short- and long-term priorities and projects that WSDOT and SDOT can implement in order to make Aurora a safer, more enjoyable place to live, work, shop, and travel through.
