History, Art, Music, & Culture of Kulintang
The Kulintang Project, is a free five day cultural workshop scheduled for May 22-26, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Legion of Mary Room, 810 18th Avenue Seattle, WA 98122 The workshop will be taught by the kulintang master musician, Manny Dragon. The workshop is designed to be 'hands-on' with emphasis on the instrument's historical background/influence on the Filipino culture. The series will culminate in a performance on Saturday, May 27th at Exhibition Hall, 301 Mercer Street, as part of Seattle's Annual Folklife Festival.
