Voices of the Community
The Voices of the Community will host an interactive display of historical photos from the Al Smith Sr. collection that document the lives of African Americans in Seattle throughout the 20th century. The display will be presented at the ROOTS celebration on September 4, 2016 from 12pm- 5pm at Sam Smith Park located at 1400 MLK Jr. Way S. Community members will explore the photos and their historical context. These activities will be documented by video that will be publicly archived.
