University Heights Center

University Heights Life Safety Building Project located at 5031 University Way NE will provide essential upgrades to preserve the historic facility. The project centers patron safety, allowing the center to better serve the resident organizations, visitors, and clients, and ensures that U-Heights remains a healthy, functional building into the future. The grant request is for the pre-construction architecture and engineering services to ensure the structural integrity of the facility's exterior cladding and to address fire code requirements.

University Heights Center

University Heights Center (UHeights) located at 5031 University Ave NE. Has started construction on an elevator shaft to link all 4 floors of our 55,000 square foot building. This project supports projects associated with their Elevator Installation. In turn giving the community unbarred entry to all classroom and event spaces. The project is free and open to the public. The project is expected to be completed in early Spring of 2022.

University Heights Center

The University Heights Center located at 5031 University Way NE is sponsoring a free concert by Mikey Mike - The Rad Scientist on Jan 12, 2019 from 3-4 p.m. Mike's performances are designed to delight and educate kids about the wonders of science. We will use this opportunity to include educational booths from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m. to educate the public about our soon-to-be Emergency Communication Hub box and encourage them to take steps to prepare their families and their businesses to weather a disaster. This project will be completed by April 30, 2019.

University Heights Center

University Heights Center located at 5031 University Way NE will install new elevators in their location to make the historic three-story center accessible for all visitors. The funds will be used for permits, surveying, hazardous consultants, and architectural design. The phase I of the project is expected to be completed by the end of January of 2020.
